About

My work is a continued experiment with representational art, wherein the process is often as important as the finished object. As an idea formulates via collage/digital art/drawing/ reading—–This interplay more often than not results in a painting, however the painting itself is a comment on the notion of appropriation and the possibilities of anonymous detourning of reproductions made possible by the internet age.

Subject matter is often related to the figure, it’s absence and commonly held views and opinions on its form.
A continued self directed study of art history and literature also informs my work, particularly in regards to themes of gender, relationships, and sexualistion from the viewpoint of a 21st Century heterosexual male.
